DIY Fall mini stacker

Follow on Bloglovin

I do LOVE fall, maybe it is all the amazing colors, or maybe because so many fun things happen in the fall… What do you love about Fall?

I also love how fun and simple,  this mini-stacker craft is! I call it mini because it is made from 1×2″ wood, cut down to 5″,6″,7″.

I used nutmeg for the brown which is my longest piece, pumpkin orange for the 2.4′s and linen for the top peice.

Once everything was dry…I sanded my edges, you don’t have to do this, but I do love the look it gives.

Then  I applied my vinyl words…  it is easier if your vinyl is warm and you use something with a flat edge, I just use my debit card.  Don’t this words make you excited for Autumn?  Fall, Leaves, and pumpkins… oh I can’t wait for all the wonderful Fall smells!

I plugged in my glue gun. I put glue on the bottom of the middle block, then smashed it, then on the top one the bottom.

I love to mix ribbons and any kind of material… I mean would you ever think that tulle and raffia would look this fabulous together! I love the look, don’t you?  I used my staple gun to attach the tulle and the raffia, you could tie the whole thing around, but then it may have hard time standing. I roll the tulle and raffia together… Then I tie a bow on top. you know how you tie your shoes, then I cut the loops… Don’t you LOVE how it looks full and fun. :) , Now how fun is this I have a fun, simple fall decoration. You could even put it on your desk or on a small shelf, or add it to your other fall items. :)

  1. Okay, I am kind of a craft dork… what do you mean by apply your vinyl words? Do you buy the letters at the store? Or is it a big sheet and you cut them out? Cute!

    • Gina, There are several ways you can put the words on, I used the vinyl that I cut, If you don’t have a cutter, then you can buy just the vinyl, or the whole craft kit, which comes with the 3 pieces of wood and the 3 vinyl words, for $4.50. Does that help?
